Automotive Industry

When you look at an automobile in terms of the materials it is made of, the first thing that comes to mind is metal. In fact, however, a good third of the 30,000 or so parts of a modern car today are made of plastic. There are good reasons for this, because plastic offers, among other things, enormous design freedom, has haptic advantages, and is lightweight and durable.

The most obvious use of plastic components is in vehicle interiors. The production of components for this area is another focus of Maierhöfer Injection Molding Technology. In particular, the fastening hinges for attaching the roof grab handle to the vehicle headliner are one of our specialties.

The high customer demands require extremely complex molds. Each project therefore presents a new challenge, which we implement with the highest precision.
